Hi, I’m Klaasje

(sounds like Klasha)

As a Registered Psychotherapist based in Hanover, Ontario, I understand the weight of anxiety because I’ve lived it. For years, I believed my worth was tied to my accomplishments. Every small problem would send me into a spiral of self-doubt and overwhelm. And let’s talk about analysis paralysis; I was trapped in the cycle of overthinking every decision, terrified of making the wrong move.

But here’s what changed: I stopped trying to control my thoughts and learned to listen. Listen to the parts of me that felt unworthy, to the deep insecurities I had ignored, to the fears that kept me small. Healing is not just managing anxiety, but unlearning the false self you’ve had to carry for so long.

Once I started taking quiet time, focusing on what truly mattered to me, everything shifted. This work is about releasing the conditioning that tells you who you should be so you can reconnect with who you are. It’s about letting go of the relentless search for answers and finding something deeper: clarity, presence, and a self that no longer feels like a stranger.

How I like to relax:

Hanging out with my dog, walking outside, sitting in the sun, quiet time, and reading (did I mention I love books)

If I weren’t a therapist I would be:

A vet or a dog trainer. I love animals. But fun fact - I did have a prior career in Human Resources before becoming a therapist!

Foods that make me drool:

Really good pasta, gouda cheese, tacos, and strawberries.
